The Construction of Knowledge System and Career Capability of International Chinese Language Teachers

Abstract: With the intensified progress of globalization,the qualification and ability of international Chinese teachers must be updated accordingly. By analyzing the problems in the career development of international Chinese teacher, we conclude that the qualification and ability can be improved from two aspects: the knowledge system and career capability. The knowledge system is not only limited to linguistics, pedagogy and psychology, public diplomacy and international relations should also be included. The construction of career capability of international Chinese teachers should be based on the knowledge system, and efforts should be made to promote the competence of language using, teaching ability and psychological ability. Both the knowledge system and career ability are dynamic, and should be improved according to teaching requirements. International Chinese teachers should adjust and construct their knowledge system according to the characteristics of today's global Chinese education and the development plan of Confucius Institute, so as to achieve their career goals and promote the development of international Chinese education.
