Abstract: Operational research is one of the important fundamental courses for students majoring in economics and management. The teaching of operational research should keep to the nature of this course and the quality of students majoring in economics and management in order to arouse students' interest in learning. In the teaching process,the class should also be student-oriented so that students′ leading position can be fully assured and they learn in accordance with their aptitude. As for teaching methods,efforts should be made in teaching content planning,resources exploitation and methods of lecturing. Interaction between teacher and students should also be strengthened for a full understanding of how well students learn. The ultimate purpose of this course is to enable students to think from the angle of operational research and to solve practical problems by using what they have learned in class.
