Abstract: During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the CPC made active efforts to shape its international image although Kuo mintang’s blockade policy made it almost "unseen" in the international community. However, due to the lack of experience, the Communist Party of China had to shape its image through its own channels, which inevitably resulted in difficulties to be accepted by the international community and hence producing the "image bias". During the Yan'an period, the CPC maximized the spread of the voice of the CPC to the international community via the Gung Ho Movement (Chinese industrial cooperatives), and built a good party image in the international community. This paper examines the background and situations in which Gung Ho Movement founded by the international friends during Yan'an period, and the motives and methods with which the Gung Ho Movement constructed the CPC international image, aiming to explore the theoretical difficulties currently encountered in CPC image shaping, so as to provide a strategy suggestion for international image shaping of CPC in the new era.
