Abstract: The building of the party system is not only valuable experience for the CPC to survive and thrive, but also an inherent requirement for the strict self-governance in the new era. Since the 19th National Congress of CPC, scholars have carried out extensive and continuous researches on the connotation, theoretical origin, significance and paths of the party system construction, as well as the logical relationship between the party system construction and party construction in other fields. The research results contribute considerably to deepening understanding of party system construction. But problems like narrow research vision, incomprehensive research contents and rigid research method still exist. In the future, the academic circles should broaden their research horizons, deepen the research contents, optimize the research methods, so as to innovate researches on the party system construction and to provide a solid theoretical foundation for promoting the new great project of the party construction in the new era and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
