Abstract: The depositional facies and conodonts in the Upper permian and Middle-Lower Triassic Carbonatite in this area are studied in this paper. The emphasis is laid on the genera, species and assemblage of conodonts, and a preliminary division is made of the carbonate facies in different formations. Therefore,the relationship between conodont animals and depositional environments and lithology is described. Besides, the colour alteration of conodonts and its significance in exploring oil and gas is also discussed.
