RESEARCH ON PERMIAN GONODONTS IN SICHUAN BASIN AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE TO OIL AND GAS

Abstract

Abstract:

The Permian is dominated by marine carbonate，which is a major zone of gas production in the' Sichuan, basin. Thirty three formation sections have been systematically studied and numerous data of conodonts have been collected. The Paper describes the author’s recent research results. According to the vertical and lateral distribution of conodonts discovered，ten conodont zones can be divided. A sequence of the evolution of Permian Neogondolella .And Ahchignathodus genus and the relationship of conodont color to the estimation of oil arid gas maturity are found.
