Abstract: According to time-interval velocity data of seismic sequence, we give out the compaction curve equation for "pure sand" and "pure shale" in the area of study, compute theoretical sandstone percentage of objective layers by using time—average equation, and then correct theoretical sandstone percentage in terms of statistcal sandstone percentage. Therefore, we obain the corrected sandstone percentage reflecting practical one. This method proved to be good in H group of T basin.
