Abstract: A data acquisition system is presented in this paper on the basis of PC parallel port through software and hardware. The hardware mainly includes AD 574A 12 bit ADC and 8255A Prallel interface chips. As for the software, data needed can be acquired by means of“Polling”. Without opening the box of main frame, this system can be linked to a variety of computers, especially portable ones.
