Abstract: There is sever disequilibrium at zero-balance check in the commercial reservoir simulators introduced in recent years(including the ones from IMEX software by CMG, SIMBESTII and VIP- ENCORE by SSI). So far, there are no literaturesthat are published to deal with this problem. Two main reasons causing the above problem are discussed and analyzed, and the corresponding measures are also presented in the paper. The application shows that these measures can greatly reduce the degree of disequilibrium at zero-balance check, and ensure powerful reliability of the simulation model.
