Abstract:

According to the energy conservation law of oil-gas two-phase flow, a general and unified model for predicting fluid flowing temperature distribution in the hybrid transmission pipeline was derived, which considered the effects of joule-thomson coefficient, liquid friction, fluctuating terrain and velocities of gas and liquid. Four simplified models were presented in the paper, and their validity was verified with two field cases for the technological calculation in the oil-gas two-phase pipeline. Through a comparison calculation with actual fluid temperature of pipeline’s end, the main factors which effected the distribution of temperature drop along the multiphase pipeline are heat transfer coefficient, joule-thomson coefficient and liquid friction. However, undulating terrain and velocities of gas and liquid can be ignored for the calculation of temperature drop.
