This is the first time that fracturing fluid waste water after coagulation has been treated by Fe/C micro-electrolysis process, and four factors, namely pH value, detention time, Fe/Cvolumetric ratio, grain size of scrap iron, dose of ammonium chloride (NH4CI) have been studied. By calculation, the consume of the scrap iron has been determined. Results show that removal rate of color is nearly 100%, removal rate of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) arrives at 58%, the consume of the scrap iron is 0.28 kg/m3, while pHvalue is 2, detention time is 25 minutes, Fe/C volumetric ratio is 1-1.5, iron grain is 6080 mesh, adding content of NH4CI is 1 000 mg/L.
