Abstract: Each sectional liquid holdup calculation method has corresponding application area. The correlations of ten sectional liquid holdups were described in the paper, based on the results of testing data evaluation, five models were selected for the Shinan oil field. the results showed that MinamiBrill Ⅰ, MinamiBrill Ⅱ and LockhartMartinelli relational expression were smaller error than other formulas, therefore the three equations were used as calculating equation of sectional liquid holdup calculation formulas for Shinan oil field.
