Abstract: There are three independent oil reservoirs in Hadson Oilfield in Tarim Basin,i.e.,Carboniferous Donghe sandstone reservoir, thin sand bed reservoir in mudstone section of middle Carboniferous and the oil reservoir of the 3rd sub-member of upper Kepingtage Formation of Silurian, which all originate in the same suite of source rocks and are covered by the same regional caprocks, whereas studies on the Hydrocarbon accumulation stages show that the oil reservoirs came into being in different periods.Comprehensive analyses on the periods of hydrocarbon forming and discharge, fluid conducting system and faulting stages show that the oil reservoirs originally came into being at late Hercynian stage and then experienced various degrees of hydrocarbon adjustment owing to tectonic activity at late periods. The outcome of fluid inclusion analyses of current Donghe sandstone and thin sand bed reservoir indicates the episode of new oil reservoir coming from ancient oil reservoir adjustment at late Himalayan stage.
