IMPROVED SYNTHESIS METHOD OF 2(DIMETHYLAMINO) ETHYL METHACRYLATE

Abstract: 2(dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate(DMAEMA) is a kind of functional monomer,which is extensively employed in oilfield drilling.By using calcium as catalyst,dimethylaminoethanol and methyl acrylate as raw materials,phenothiazine as inhibitor,DMAEMA is synthesized by transesterification.The product is verified by FT-IR,1HNMR,MS and element analysis,the effect of the reaction conditions,such as the amount of catalyst,the ratio of the raw materials and the reaction time is investigated,results show that Ca is a high active and applicable catalyst for synthesizing DMAEMA.The yield and purity of product could reach 95.4% and 98.6% respectively under the optimized conditions.
