Abstract: Based on the systematical research and statistical analysis of the reservoirs founded in Wuerxun-Beier,it is found that almost all the reservoirs are related with faults, based on which, the reservoirs are divided into four kinds:fault-related anticline reservoir(FA),fault-related stratigraphic reservoir(FS),fault-related lithology reservoir(FL) and fault block reservoir(FB).After the study on reservoirs distribution,it is indicated that faults control the hydrocarbon accumulation:1.The distance from the fault to trap controls the hydrocarbon distribution, and more than 90% of the industry production wells are located within 1km from faults.2.The size of the fault throw controls the hydrocarbon accumulation, and the trap developing with a fault which has a fault throw between 200~300m contains the most hydrocarbon accumulation.3.The trap with NNE or NEE direction faults has more chance to accumulate hydrocarbon.4,When the vertical throw of trap-related fault is larger than the apparent thickness of reservoir and smaller than the apparent thickness of the seal, the trap is easier to accumulate hydrocarbon.
