Abstract:

Based on a vast number of results from dynamic cake fluid-loss experiments made by others，this paper has given a model for more accurately calculating fluid-loss velocity, where the influence of many factors，such as real pressure differences exerted on three zones(cake, filtrate and reservoir)，viscosity of fluid, shear velocity in the fracture, and the frontal movement of the filtrate fluid are taken into consideration, The model can be used to calculate fluid-loss velocity in the design of a pad fluid acid fracturing or hydraulic fracturing treatment.
