Abstract: According to the mathematical theory of analytical space geometry, the paper has established the mathematical relationship between the sectional area and volume of the scoop-shaped tooth of three-cone bit and the depth of tooth penetrating rock. The mathematical relationship has provided the standard for the study of the size of bit teeth breaking rock,laid the foundation for the computer imitation of three-cone bit,and provided the unprecedented reference materials for the people working on bit research as well.
