Abstract:

The reservoirformimg characteristics of Xujiahe Formation in Sichuan Basin are stated in this paper，and also，it is pointed out that the formation is a set

of coal bearing clastic rack strata formed on the base of marine facies carmonate platform in the western margin of upper Yantz platform，it is one of the most

prospective formations in Sichuan Basin due to the exclusive hydrocarbon generation，reservoir and cap association.Vertically，in the Xujiahe Formation gas reservoirs，

three sets of sandwichlike reservoirforming associations develop，which takes lithologic gas reservoir，structurallithologic combination gas reservoir as the

main existing way，and is of the characteristics of multiple reservoirforming associations，high water saturation，complicated gas and water eolation，diverstified gas

reservoir types，and controlled by hydrocarbon source，reservoirs，ancient and present structures and foreland basin texture.The research indicates the reservoirforming

conditions and the matching of Xujiahe Formation in Sichuan Basin are generally good.There exist five favorable gas accumulation areas with bright explorative prospect.
