Abstract: The production history simulation for artificially fractured wells in the tight sandstone gas reservoir in west Sichuan is a difficult problem. Since the porosity and permeability of the formation is very low, the dynamic change of formation’s permeability along with the decrease of formation pressure cannot be neglected which is caused by many factors such as fracture
close, water sensitivity effect and so on. But generally the porosity and permeability of the formation is supposed constant in theoretical basis of numerical simulation. Therefore, reasonable and effective simulation cannot often be attained. On the basis of analysis the practical production data in a tight sandstone gas reservoir in west Sichuan, formation permeability’s
change rules and description methods in production process have been studied using advanced numerical simulation technology and then history simulation and plan prediction can be finished well.
