Abstract: This paper analyzes the working principle and the applicable conditions of turbine flowmeter，and points out that the turbine flowmeter is suitable to the wellhole conditions of single一phase flow and high flow rate. But for those of polyphase flow and low flowrate，the measurement error is relatively great. In order to raise the measurment accuracy，the flow-collection types turbine flowmeter should be used in measurement. This paper also sstudies the proper use of turbine flowmeter in various wellhole conditions，so as to raise the inter-pretation accuracy of log curve.
