Abstract: Strata uplift and erosion destroy not only the existed accumulation,but also promote hydrocarbon migration and accumulation.The abnormally low pressure caused by temperature falling,sandstone rebounding and regional fluid flow due to imbalance erosion during the process of strata uplift and erosion,provides energy for the oil and gas to migrate and accumulate,the sandstone rebounding due to strata erosion offers more pore spaces for oil and gas accumulation,and the physical experiment shows that the amount of sandstone rebounding can be up to 1%,the rocks exposed to atmosphere are affected by weathering and leaching process,which will improve characteristics of accumulation.So,strata uplift and erosion should be one of the oil and gas accumulation mechanisms.
