Permian to lower Triassic isolated carbonate platform depositional systems in Pingguo area is studed in detail in this thesis. Permian sedimentary facies of Pingguo ancient carbonate platform can be divided into carbonate platform center facies; platform margin facies and platform slop-trough facies, and lower Triassic sedimentary facies can be divided into carbonate platform facies area and classic trough facies area. Petrological and paleobiological characteristics of these facies are described and the original of various scdiments is analysed. Some problems about their distribution, tectonic control and sedimentation are discussed.According to the viewpoint of system theory, the difference between platform facies and trough facies, and the influence among them are summerized, and their evolution model is found in this paper.

This paper has dissected serious shortcomings of two-parameter (stripes and strikes) rose diagram in common use, presented the measure of joint growth level by joint contribution, and plotted the rose diagram with three parameters of stripes, dimensions and strikes of she joint. The set of the rose diagram directly shows the joint growth in many sides. It is very convenient to use and analyse. Its effect is very remakable.

This paper introduces a quantitative analysis method of mineral components of rock and motes in formation by x-ray diffraction. The principle of the analysis is based on intra-standard and extrastandard equations. The strength factors of minerals are determined in author s experiments. The analysis is simple and feasible, and its accuracy can demand the needs of petrology study and core analysis.

This paper has presented a new definition of kick tolerance and unified it with the critical pit gain, allowable pressure of BOP and fracture pressure of bore hole, and thus given the calculation methods and formulas of kick tolerance under conditions of using shut-in wethod etc. systematically. The new definition and its calculation methods are very convenient for drilling engineers to use in the field.

In this paper, a set of numerical calculation methods for the geometric size of the horizontal fracture during foam fracturing is provided according to three kinds of typical foam fracture fluids. The effect of several parameters on the geometric size of the horizontal fracture is analysed with the orthogonal test principle. The results obtained are useful for the foam fracturing design.

During the monitoring of the bed test life of mud pump pistons the quantitative technique of ferrography is used to trace, photograph and analyse the formation and changes of wear debris by means of SEM and EDAX. In the meantime, the coverage of wear particles on the ferrography section is measured in due time, anda lot of data are obtained. From a serics of the information, some wear curves related to the ferrography monitoring are drawn. Combining with the occurance of charateristic metallic wear debris and the analysis of rubber debris produced, this technique provides the reliable diagnosis criteria for the failure of the test pistons.

In this paper, we use a concept of grey system incidence degree to determine the difference degree between the membership function shapes of two fuzzy subsets and use Hamming distance to determine the close degree between the two membership functions, and thus to determine the optimal solution in the efficient solutions. The step is that the ideal solutions(consisting of the single-object optimal solutions)and efficient solutions(not bad solutions)of multiple-object optimazation questions are made fuzzy to obtain the incidence degree and Hamming distance between separate fuzzy efficient solutions and fuzzy ideal solutions. In the end, optimal solution in the efficient solutions can be determined by ordering and marking.

In this paper, we have introduced the grey theory and the model establishing method, by which the grey forecast model of industrial total output values is established, and compared the model with the econometric model. The former has higher observation value in fluctuation-range than the latter. Using the grey model, we have computed forecast values of the oil industrial total output values in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, etc. We ve also pointed out the limitation of the grey model and presented the methods of eliminating it.

In Reference (1) an abstract semigroup approach is used to prove the identifiability of the initial state of one vibrating string with viscous damping at end point. It has been proved that the system isa spectral one, and that the identifiability depends completely on the measurement of the observation time interval. In this paper, the characteristic method is used directly to solve this problem of identifiability, and the obvious solution to this problem is obtained.
