Abstract:

Objective: To explore the clinical effect of the sternoclavicuar hook plate for the treatment of sternoclavicular joint
dislocation. Methods: 5 cases of dislocation of sternoclavicular joint, and 1 case of dislocation of sternoclavicular joint combined with
fracture of the sternal end clavicle in the Department of Orthopaedics from March 2010 to October 2015 were operated with
sternoclavicuar hook plate fixation. Results: All 6 patients had been followed-up for 12-16 months, with the result 4 cases were in
excellent recovery, 1 case was good, 1 case was acceptable, and the the rate of excellent and good was 83%. The clinical effect is
satisfied. Conclusion: The sternoclavicuar hook plate can fix dislocation of sternoclavicular joint firmly. It can fix sternoclavicular joint
dislocation combined with fracture of the sternal end clavicle, and can keep the jiggle of the sternoclavicular joint, which is a
satisfactory curative effect of internal fixation.
