Research Progress of ESX-1 Secretion System of Mycobacterium tuberculosis

Objective: To review components and their functions of ESAT-6 secretion system-1 (ESX-1)of Mycobacterium
tuberculosis. Methods: Consult and summarize related reference material about ESX -1 secretion system of Mycobacterium
tuberculosis. Results: ESX-1 secretion system is characterized by secretion of ESAT-6 and CFP-10, including coding genes and
more than ten secretive regulator genes. Conclusion: The secretions of virulence factor of ESAT-6 and CFP-10 in Mycobacterium
tuberculosis were controlled by multiple related encoding genes.
