Analysis of the Differences between Two Female Images —— Jane Eyre and Rebecca from the Perspective
of the Authors' Sex Awareness

Abstract:

Jane Eyre, and Rebecca in Vanity Fair are two women in Victorian literature with the same awareness of independence
and rebellion but different fates brought by their authors. Through the study of the essential differences between them from the
perspective of the authors' sex awareness, readers may perceive the divergences in their ideas and judgments towards female rebellion,and gain a better comprehension of the texts' values which have ever been neglected or misinterpreted.
