Abstract:

Objective: To optimize the matrix composition of Astragalus polysaccharides skincare products. Methods: The stability
and appearance properties of Astragalus polysaccharides skincare product were used as the targets of evaluation, the HLB value of
emulsified oil phase, the emulsifying temperature, and the preparation methods were optimized by using single- factor test. The
influences of the ratio of oil phase and water phase and the emulsifiers HLB value on emulsifiable paste were explored by using L9（34）
orthogonal experiment design. Results: The optimum matrix composition was the oil phase of stearie acide : liquid paraffin : white
vaseline = 1.0 : 1.7 : 0.9，the emulsifiers HLB value 13, the emulsify temperature 80 °C, and the water phase of glycerol : triethylolamine :
water = 7.0 : 15.0 : 1.0. Conclusion: The formulation of Astragalus polysaccharides skincare product is suitable, the quality is stable,
and the preparation method is simple.
