Abstract: 〔Abstract〕Objective: To discuss the clinical efficacy of long-stem total hip arthroplasty in the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture
with femoral head necrosis in the elderly. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed clinical efficacy of long-stem total hip arthroplasty in
the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture with femoral head necrosis in 21 patients in the Department of Othopedics in Panzhihua
Central Hospital from January 2015 to July 2018. Results: All the patients underwent the above-mentioned surgery at the same time,
and were followed up after surgery, with an average follow-up time of(14.0 ± 1.2)months. All patients had bone healing, and there
were no break or looseness in the internal fixation steel wire or cable; the position of the joint prosthesis was good without loosening or
sinking; the activity of hip joint was normal and improved significantly; all patients were satisfied with this treatment. Conclusion:
Long-stem total hip arthroplasty can solve the problems of fracture and necrosis of femoral head at the same time, avoid the pain of
patients caused by repeated operations, minimize the financial burden of patients and their families, and improve the satisfaction of
patients and their families with the treatment. So, it is an important and practical clinical method.
