〔Abstract〕Objective: To examine the effects of Klotho RNA interference on proliferation, migration and oxidative stress in human
aortic vascular smooth muscle cells(HA-VSMC). Methods: Lentivirus was used to inhibit the expression of Klotho in HA-VSMC,
and the transfection efficiency was verified by fluorescence microscopy, fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction and the
Western blot. CCK-8 method was used to detect cell proliferation, and Transwell method was used to detect cell migration. The
intracellular superoxide dismutase(SOD)and malondialdehyde(MDA)content was detected by the micro method. The relative
expressions of NOX1, NOX2, NOX3, NOX5 and DUOX2 were detected by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction.
Results: The expression of Klotho in HA-VSMC was significantly down-regulated after lentivirus transfection. Compared with the
blank control well, the decrease of Klotho expression could significantly increase the proliferation and migration of HA-VSMC, and
nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase(NOX1, NOX2, NOX3, NOX5 and DUOX2)mRNA expression were increased
significantly. Meanwhile, MDA levels increased significantly, while the SOD activity levels decreased significantly in cell lysates after
transfection. Conclusion: Klotho deficiency could promote HA-VSMC proliferation, migration and oxidative stress.

〔Abstract〕Objective: To discuss the effect of timing of pleural fiberboard stripping on the therapeutic effect of chronic tuberculous
empyema(CTE). Methods: 160 patients with CTE were selected from June 2014 to June 2018 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali
University. All the patients were given pleural fiberboard stripping. According to the timing of surgery, patients were divided into the
    early group(after 6 to 12-week anti-tuberculosis treatment)and the normal group(after 12-week anti-tuberculosis treatment), with
80 patients in each group. Results: The operative time, pleural thickness, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative intubation time and
complication rate of the early group were significantly lower than those of the normal group, and the differences were statistically
significant(P<0.05). The postoperative forced vital capacity(FVC), forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1)and FEV1 :
FVC of both the two groups were significantly higher than those before the operation; the FVC, FEV1, FEV1 : FVC of the early group
were significantly higher than those of the normal group. The differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05). The treatment
effective rate of the early group was higher than that of the normal group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05).
Conclusion: Compared with the pleural decortication after 12-week anti-tuberculosis treatment, the surgery after 6 to 12-week anti-
tuberculosis treatment can effectively reduce surgical trauma and complications in patients with CTE. It is helpful to improve the
patient′s lung function and has better therapeutic effects, so it is worth for further clinical popularization.

〔Abstract〕Objective: To evaluate the correlation and consistency of neonatal total bilirubin(TBIL)determined by transcutaneous
jaundice detector and automatic biochemistry analyzer. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 383 neonates with hyperbilirubinemia
who were hospitalized in the Department of Neonatology, Longgang District Central Hospital of Shenzhen from June 2017 to June 2019.
According to TBIL values detected by automatic biochemistry analyzer, the patients were divided into the moderate jaundice group with
198 neonates, the severe jaundice group with 120 neonates, and the extremely severe jaundice group with 65 neonates. The TBIL
values were determined simultaneously by transcutaneous jaundice detector and automatic biochemistry analyzer. The correlation and
consistency of TBIL values determined by the two methods were analyzed by Spearman Correlation Coefficient and Bland-Altman
Scatter Plot. Results: The differences of TBIL values of the neonates in all the groups with different degrees of jaundice determined by
the two methods were significant(P<0.01). There was a significant positive correlation between TBIL values detected by
transcutaneous jaundice detector and values by automatic biochemistry analyzer(r = 0.973, P<0.01), but the consistency of TBIL
values detected by the two instruments was poor. Conclusion: Transcutaneous bilirubin(TCB)is a better tool used to monitor children
with moderate and severe jaundice, but for children with very severe jaundice, TCB alone is not enough and dynamic monitoring of
    serum total bilirubin(STB)is also needed.

〔Abstract〕Objective: To evaluate the self-care abilities of patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)and their primary caregivers,
and analyze their respective influencing factors. Methods: A total of 61 inpatients with CHF and their primary caregivers in a hospital
were investigated by interviews and questionnaires. Results: The average score of Self-Care of Heart Failure Index for CHF patients
and their primary caregivers were(43.5±10.7)and(42.9±10.2), respectively, and there was a significant positive correlation between
their scores. The patient′s levels of heart failure knowledge, admission times, education background and nationality were the primary
factors influencing his self-care ability. The primary caregiver′s level of heart failure knowledge, daily care time and self-awareness of
health condition, and the patient′s admission times were the major factors influencing his contribution to the patient′ self-care ability.
Conclusion: The self-care abilities of CHF patients and their primary caregivers′ contribution to patients′ self-care ability are
generally low, and the influencing factors are related to demographic and clinical characteristics.

〔Abstract〕Objective: To study the relationship between social support, treatment attitudes and beliefs and self-management of
empty-nest elderly patients with hypertension, and to provide a scientific basis for improving their self-management level. Methods:
We established the social support rating scale, the scale of attitude and belief in treating hypertension, and the self-management scale
of patients with hypertension to make a survey among 208 subjects. Results: The social support rating scale score was 41.93±5.48
points, the scale of attitude and belief in treating hypertension scored 64.22±10.92 points, and the self-management scale of patients
with hypertension scored 70.68±9.21 points. There was a positive correlation between attitude and belief in hypertension treatment and
social support and hypertension self-management(P<0.05). Social support had a partial mediating effect between attitudes and beliefs
in the treatment of hypertension and self-management of hypertension. The 95% confidence interval of the mediating effect was
(0.160, 0.508). The mediating effect accounted for 41.42% of the total effect. Conclusion: Social support, treatment attitudes and
beliefs are closely related to the self-management level of empty-nest elderly patients with hypertension. The self-management level
can be improved by promoting social support and treatment attitudes and beliefs of patients.

〔Abstract〕Objective: To examine the effect of occupational therapy under MOHO mode for the rehabilitation of persons with severe
mental illness. Methods: 40 hospitalized patients with severe mental illness were divided into the observation group and the control
group. The control group was given routine mental care. In the observation group, MOHO-ST was used to evaluate the information of
patients′ working ability, and occupational therapy was supplemented by token economy treatment. The changes in the scores of SANS,
NOSIE-30 and ADL before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the SANS score of the
observation group decreased and the score was lower than that of the control group; ADL score of the observation group decreased, the
total positive factor score of nosie-30 was higher than that of the control group, and the total negative factor score was lower than that of
the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusion: The occupational therapy under MOHO is
helpful to improve the withdrawal, isolation and laziness of patients with serious mental diseases, and promote their self-care ability.
Thus, the therapy has high clinical application value.

〔Abstract〕Objective: To explore the significance and effect of the establishment of pre-discharge transitional wards with family
participation for preterm neonates in Yunnan Province. Methods: We selected 45 pairs of premature infants with similar degrees of
illness and family backgrounds, who were hospitalized in NICU of a Grade-A Children′s Hospital in Yunnan Province from January
2019 to January 2020. Preterm neonates in the control group were treated in NICU until discharged from hospital, while preterm
neonates in the experimental group were treated on the transitional ward with parents participating in nursing care before discharge. We
compared parents′ abilities to care for preterm neonates outside of the hospital and the life quality of neonates after discharge between
the two groups. Results: The care ability of caregivers in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group,
and the visit rate of non-primary diseases in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group within 1 month after
discharge, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There were no nosocomial infections both in the experimental and
control groups. Conclusion: The establishment of transitional wards with the family participating in nursing care for premature infants
can enhance the care ability of caregivers and improve the life quality of premature infants after discharge. This is a care strategy which
should be recommended under the current medical system.
