Investigation and Analysis on the Healthy Needs of the Elderly in Pension Agencies in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture

Abstract:

Abstract Objective To understand the current situation of the healthy needs of the elderly in pension agencies in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture find out the shortcomings of the existing institutions and put forward intervention strategies for the existing problems. Methods 93 elderly people from three different pension agencies in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture were selected as the research objects. Through issuing the healthy demand questionnaire the basic information self-care ability healthy status and their needs for daily life services medical and health care services and spiritual civilization services were mastered and the survey data were statistically analyzed. ResultsThe self-care ability of the subjects was generally not adequate and 77.42% of the elderly could not take care of themselves completelyhypertension cervical spine waist and leg pain and diabetes and other basic diseases account for the highest proportion of diseases in the elderly and the majority of elderly people suffer from chronic diseases at the same timemost elderly people choose to be taken to the hospital for treatment by their children when they get sick the elderly hope to get complete daily life facilities and medical and health education. ConclusionBasic diseases among the elderly in the pension agencies are prevalent and recreational facilities are not enough. It is recommended that the institutions implement a combination of medical care and elderly care strengthen the prevention and treatment of elderly diseases improve facilities and services improve the professional quality of nursing staff and strengthen social attention to elderly care institutions.
