Expression of G6PD Protein in Leukemia

Abstract

Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the expression of G6PD protein in human leukemia and analyze the relationship between G6PD and leukemia. Methods: Immunohistochemical method was applied to detect the expression of G6PD protein in the bone marrow tissue of 35 leukemia patients and 35 cases of non-hematologic malignancies. Non-hematologic malignancies were used as control group. The comparison of G6PD protein rate in leukemia patents and the control was studied. Results: The positive expression rate of G6PD protein was 25.7%（9/35）in leukemia patients and 2.9%（1/35）in control. Data showed a statistically significant difference in G6PD expression between the two groups （P <0.05）. Conclusion: G6PD protein was high expressed in leukemia, which needed further study.
