Application of QCC in Reducing the Incidence Rates of the Falling of Inpatients

Abstract:

Objective: To study the effect of QCC in reducing the incidence rates of the falling of inpatients. Methods: QCC was
founded by volunteers. The theme of the activity was made and the plane was settled. Sixteen falling cases happened in the internal
medicine department at a hospital in Dali from January 2013 to January 2014 were analyzed. The correlates of incidence were mainly
studied and the countermeasures were proposed. Then the incidence rates before and after the activity were compared to evaluate the
effect and establish a standardized management. Results: After the activity, the incidence rates of falling of inpatients decreased from
0.009% to 0.005%. Conclusion: The application of QCC can reduce the incidence rates of falling of inpatients and play a remarkable
positive role in promoting the group cohesiveness and abilities of QCC members in solving problems.
