This article is based on the empirical analysis of the national census data from 2000 to 2010. Studies have shown that the
population of ethnic minorities in China is mainly distributed in the border areas, the number of people has been rising, and the rate of population growth has been decreasing year by year; the population tends to be aged, the gender structure is relatively stable, and the education level is constantly improving, but the regional differences are significant. With the continuous deepening of China's reforms and the guidance of a series of favorable national policies, the changes, distribution, natural population change rate, population education and cultural level of less populated ethnic groups are moving towards a better direction, laying a solid foundation for winning the battle against poverty.

    Abstract83)      PDF (1903KB)(49)    Save
As a characteristic agricultural industry, flue-cured tobacco industry has made great contribution to rural poverty
reduction. Based on the panel data, an empirical study is made on the relationship and spatio-temporal evolution of tobacco
agricultural development and rural poverty with comparative advantage index, FGT index and moving window correlation coefficient.
The results show that the development advantage of flue-cured tobacco agriculture declined slightly during the observation period.
However, the evolution process has obvious phase characteristics, presenting a "stepwise" distribution feature that rises from east to
west in space. There is polarization in the advantages of the development of East China with the passage of time, and the western
regions has the internal adjustment of the spatial layout. Meanwhile, the rural poverty rate in the observation period has declined
significantly, the three regions over time showed the trend of convergence, but the slow process of rural poverty in different regions has
significant differences, showing the characteristics of "high in the West and low in the East". The relationship between the tobacco
industry and rural poverty is not stable, because there are great fluctuations both at the national and the provincial levels, and the
evolution process has obvious regional differences.

Ethnic language is the carrier of ethnic culture, so its gradual attrition means the gradual loss of traditional ethnic culture.
This study analyzes and explains the intergenerational attrition differences and influencing factors of 78 daily words in Naxi language in
Yulong Village, Lijiang City, through a combination of quantitative and qualitative studies. The results show that the imbalance
between the tradition and modernity of the villagers' education in Yulong village is an important cause that leads to the significant
intergenerational differences of Naxi language attrition. Therefore, the theory of "multi-integration education" that advocates the
coexistence of diverse cultures has prospective theoretical significance and practical value for realizing the balance between the
tradition and modernity of ethnic education and saving the mother tongues.

"Caudine Forks" refers to the hypothesis that undeveloped countries could pass through the capitalist state to go straight
into socialism based on absorbing capitalism's positive acquisition, and therefore avoid the disasters brought by capitalism. The
domestic academical discussion on this hypothesis is mainly focused on the use of terms such as "passing through" or "not passing
through", and the theoretical exploration of partial and complete leaping. A clear understanding of the subject and the conditions is the
basis for understanding the basic content of this hypothesis. Although there is a certain gap between the hypothesis and China's actual
development situation, it still can provide certain practical enlightenment for the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Deliberative democracy is a democratic form of consensus formed by citizens based on interests, culture and value
pluralism. It takes public consultation as the core content, public interest as the guidance, and form a consensus democratic form
through dialogue, debate, and compromise to modify the original will. It has the characteristics of the pluralism of the participants, the
publicity of the content of negotiation and the public rationality of negotiation participation. The value of its existence is to achieve
more real community governance. Firstly, it means extensive participatory democracy; secondly, it promotes "organic unity" of the
community; and thirdly, it enhances the legitimacy of public decision-making. But in reality, deliberative democracy is in the
predicament of political indifference, multi-subject and insufficient system supply. The solution of the problem is to cultivate the sense
of community, break the limit, improve the system design and improve the resident consultation ability.

Knowing by whom knowledge is used and for whom it is serving is still an issue that needs to be clarified when cultivating
medical talents in contemporary China. The educational view of training "politically-sound and professionally-competent" talents
needs to be strongly advocated in the medical field which is now "putting emphasis on professionalism and neglecting humanities" and
having a trend of "de-ideologization". As a reserve force for the development of China's medical career and the guardian of the great
rejuvenation of the nation, Chinese medical students not only need to have the benevolence as doctors, but also to take the
responsibility of "strengthening the country", and contribute to "building a community with a shared future for mankind". Ideological
and political teachers should combine General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the National Conference on Ideological and Political
Work to clarify why medical students should be both politically-sound and professionally-competent. Teachers of various disciplines
should be aware of "ideology and politics", so that the ideological and political courses will "go in the same direction" with professional
courses, and medical talents could be cultivated based on the concept of "all-round education".
