Abstract: Energy security is the foundation of the economy and a major event in the country. At present, the current energy situation in the United States is showing a good trend:primary energy consumption is stabilizing, energy consumption structure is improving, and energy self-sufficiency is about to usher in a new round of growth. In the post-industrial era, the United States has accelerated the strategic transformation of "energy independence" based on renewable energy, which is inline with the fundamental interests of continuous capital gains. The US energy capital monopolies, through controlling and infiltrating the market and the government, shape the US energy security strategy centering on their interests, delineate the interests and boundaries of US energy foreign policy, and boost dollar hegemony and the global expansion of US political power. In the "imagined community", the US energy capital monopolies manipulate US energy politics and become a powerful force to intervene in the direction of US energy security policy. The US energy policy and military foreign policy work together implementing the "carrot and stick" policy, and promote the militarization and globalization of energy security. In the third energy revolution, the United States has tried to build a technological monopoly in the field of new energy and the discourse power of the international new energy market, which is an exhibition of the US hegemony of the world.
