Factors Affecting New Urban Residents'Role in Promoting Urban-rural Integration——An Analysis by Binary Logit Model

Abstract: China's new urban residents have played a role in promoting the urban-rural integration. By contributing to the development of agriculture,rural areas and improving farmers',the new urban residents have orderly driven the flow of people, material, capital and information between the urban and rural areas, and the new urban residents have promoted the progress of the urban-rural integration in emotion, life and work. Based on the binary logit model, we analyze the main factors that influence the new urban residents' contribution to urban-rural integration. The results show that the factors influencing the new urban residents' contribution to the development of agriculture, rural areas and famers are the honor they are entitled, the ties of township cadres with them, national attention on agriculture, rural areas and farmers, work unit assistance action and their own technical titles;the factors affecting the new urban residents'contribution to the flow of people,material,capital and information between the urban and rural areas are the ties of township cadres, their gender, national call, the level of city they work, the work unit involvement in famers services and the national attention.
