Financial Consumer Protection in Response to Digital Transformation: Origin and Regulation

Abstract: In recent years, science and technology have been in closer connection with finance, and the digital transformation of financial market is accelerating and is highly integrated. However, risks of the financial market under the digital transformation gradually appear:the high leverage and bubble behind the inclusiveness of enterprise financialization, the technology gap of the development of digital technology that aggravates the financial exclusion of financial consumers, and the application of big data in the financial field that threatens the security of financial data. In the construction of financial consumer protection paradigm in the digital financial era in China, we should respond to the new risks faced by financial consumer protection under the background of digital finance and adapt to the new situation of digital transformation of financial market by clarifying the regulatory concept, stimulating market vitality, improving the regulatory system, improving expertise of regulatory work, breaking down financial barriers and narrowing the information gap so as to adapt to the new situation of digitalization of the financial market.
