Abstract: By taking J Village in J County，Hubei Province as a case study,divorce phenomenon in this village as specific analysis object and by using semi-structure interview and non-structure interview，introduces the practical patterns of divorce phenomenon in J Village，and analyzes such patterns of divorce in the countryside，examining the husband-wife relationship，marriage market，ethics and change of family structure in the countryside. The research shows that since the middle 1990s，a revolutionary change in the former marriage market，caused by the rise of migrant workers，has taken place in the countryside：1) The former local marriage circle has been replaced by national-ranged marriage circle.2) Women have taken dominant positions in such market. Thus，the rising divorce rate caused by such structural changes reflects the change of family structure. As divorce phenomenon has become more popular and been accepted and understood，people′s family notion and ethics have also changed. The notion of nuclear-family-standard has been replaced by that of individual standard. Such changes, in turn, have caused the change of family structure and have led to more divorce and disorganization of husband-wife relationship in the countryside.
