CONTRIBUTION RATE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRESS TO ECONOMIC GROWTH

Abstract: Nanchong′s economy has made great progress since 1993.The author of this paper calculates the contribution rate of capitals and labor to economic growth and the contribution rate of science and technological progress to economic growth by using CobbDouglas production function and Solow residual value.The results show that science and technological progress play a key role in economic growth in Nanchong.The author then suggests that to further increase the contribution rate of science and technological progress to economic growth in Nanchong City,it is important to make better use of scientific and technological achievements,to optimize scientific and technological fund allocation,to emphasize the cultivation of personnel resources.
