Abstract: The education of young people is related to the development and destiny of the nation, and to the growth of the youth. Xi Jinping attaches great importance to and has far-sighted visions on youth education. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping's thoughts on youth education have developed into a logical and content-rich youth education system, which provides a fundamental guidance to China's youth education work. Xi Jinping's thoughts on youth education are part of the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,which are based on the Marxist education theory adapted to Chinese conditions and rooted in traditional Chinese culture. It contains rich logical essentials, profoundly clarifying the nature, the goal and the mechanism of youth education, and indicates the direction and path of youth education in the new era, that is, contemporary youth must have firm belief in Marxism, and be qualified as the builders and successors of socialism in the new era.
