Abstract: “Three imperatives”, an innovation from the "two musts" thought, is the key to Party construction in the new era with its focus on the overall needs of the "two overall situations", and highlights the initiative of the hundred-year old Party to create new great undertakings. The profound political feelings of the CPC are embodied in the "three imperatives" with its distinctive connotations of the times. "Never forgetting the original aspiration and founding mission" is the fundamental direction of socialist values, which provides the impetus for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation; "always staying modest, prudent, and hard-working", the political nature and fine conduct of CPC, is the political guarantee for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation; "having the courage and ability to carry on the fight" is the spirit and drive of CPC, which is the secret for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. To practice the "three imperatives", it is necessary to deepen problem-oriented theoretical research and interpretation, firm up the ideals and convictions of Party members through theoretical study campaign, prevent and resolve major risks by always be prepared for worst-case scenarios, and lead a great social revolution through self-revolution.
