Establishment and Contemplation of Norm Construction for the Ideological and Political Quality Assessment of College Students

Abstract: The ideological and political quality norm for college students refers to the overall average value, standard deviation, and other data obtained through mathematical models measuring the ideological and political quality of university students that serves as the foundation for precise evaluation of college students' ideological and political development and provides crucial support for the quantitative assessment of ideological and political education. To establish this norm, three key aspects are essential. Firstly, adherence to principles of scientific rigor, systematic approach, and developmental orientation; secondly, clear the conceptual definition and connotation of ideological and political quality, and ensuring validity in norm construction with scientific methods; thirdly, clarification of data sources, evaluation interpretation, and functional implementation of the norm. By addressing these elements, the ideological and political quality norm for college students can significantly contribute to the enhancement of evaluation practices.
