Abstract: The "Oil & Gas Storage and Transportation Engineering" course aims to enrich and expand the knowledge and skill set in the petroleum field of students from non-oil and gas storage and transportation engineering majors. The goal is to cultivate interdisciplinary talents who are capable of working in industries related to petroleum. Due to the highly specialized and broad scope of the course content, coupled with the varied levels of foundational knowledge among students in relevant fields, the teaching process faces significant challenges, and some students show low interest in learning. To enhance the effectiveness of the course and to achieve the expected goals set for the course, we made a comparative analysis of different teaching models. And on that basis , we first compiled a detailed introduction to the teaching content of the course, and made an analysis of the current issues in the teaching process, and designed and implemented a combined teaching method integrating seminars and practical case studies, alongside the development of a teaching quality evaluation system.
