Abstract: With a new round of change in the world energy sector, the international liquefied natural gas(LNG) market is experiencing a profound change. Due to the impact of world economic development, the industry structure adjustment, the competition between natural gas resources and alternative energy resources, new trends have emerged in supply-demand structure and price of the international LNG market. In this context, China's LNG import is facing new opportunities and challenges as well. We must strengthen cooperation overseas for the variety of resources import, enhance the construction of LNG trade infrastructures and improve the management and technology. Laws and regulations concerning LNG industry need to be perfected and supervision bodies should be built. Efforts are also needed to build a more comprehensive industrial chain of LNG,to increase subsidy and reduce price to expand the market share. We also need to loosen the grip of natural gas industry and deepen the energy reform in an all-round way. To sum up, deepening reform in line with market trends is the only way to ensure energy security of China.
