Abstract: Network participation has become a new approach for Chinese citizens to participate in national politics.But at the same time，negative effects of nonrational network participation are drawing public concerns.Nonrational network participation is characteristic of narrowmindedness and extremity，distortion of public opinions，neglect of professional opinions，and violation of individual rights.By analyzing typical cases in recent years，the author probes into the causes for nonrational network participation and suggests some prevention strategies，holding that to weaken the negative effects of nonrational network participation，we should resort law，morality and public opinion，and citizens′ needs in life should also be satisfied.
