Abstract: Labor is the source of social progress of human society. In our national education system, labor education enjoys the same important position as the education in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics. As the socialism with Chinese characters enters a new era, the awareness of college students' labor education has been significantly improved on the levels of the nation, society, colleges and families, and the effect of labor education has also improved. However, in labor education there is still atendency of seeking quick success and lacking down-to-earth attitude. Problems like lack of well-arranged and clear training goal, impracticable and infeasible training system, and boring and uninteresting teaching method exist too. In the new era, labor education of college students should cultivate the concepts of glory, diligence, honesty and science as its core goal, and actively explore the practice education modals like experience, employment, participation and survival so as to establish the constitution of college students' labor education in accordance with the concept of overall people education, overall process education and overall aspect education.
