36 Cases Diagnosis of Para Pharyngeal Space Tumors

Abstract:

Objective: To learn about anatomic features of the parapharyngeal space and to explore the diagnosis of parapharyngeal space tumors. Methods: Retrospective review was done on the clinical pictures, radiological features, surgical approaches, surgical findings, and postoperative complications of 36 parapharyngeal space tumors. All patients were followed up from 6 months to 3 years. Results: Benign tumors included 31 cases; malignant tumors included 5 cases. Conclusion: According to the location, transcervical surgical approach may be used for treating parapharyngeal space tumors.
