Study on Grammar and Rhetoric of English "Sense-structure Group"

Abstract

Abstract:

The sense- structure group is an elementary unit of meaning expressing, delivering and understanding. The paper
illustrates its significance in semantic, grammatical and rhetorical analysis by the way of syntagmatic rearrangement and paradigmatic
substitution, in which syntagmatic rearrangement refers to form and paradigmatic substitution refers to content. Its functions are closely
related to human's cognition.
