Abstract:

Objective: To improve the awareness of intestinal mantle cell lymphoma. Methods: Six clinical cases which were
identified as intestinal mantle cell lymphoma through colonoscopy and immunohistochemistry by the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun
Yat-sen University from May 2008 to June 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: It is clear that a significant percentage of
intestinal mantle cell lymphoma occurs in old aged male. Multiple lymphomatous polyposis has been found in intestine under
colonoscopy. Furthermore, immunohistochemistry presents that most all cases express T-cell associated antigen CD5, and over express
cycling D1. At the same time, some cases also express CD43, while others show the negative CD23 and CD10. Conclusion: Intestinal
mantle cell lymphoma is a refractory lymphoma with limited curative effect. Biopsy specimen by colonoscopy and process
immunophenotype is an important diagnosis method.
