Abstract:

Objective: To investigate therapeutic effect of intensive silver needle combined with stellate ganglion block(SGB)on
cervical vertigo. Methods: 120 patients of cervical vertigo were randomly divided into two groups. Group I used intensive silver needle
treatment combined with SGB, group Ⅱ used SGB only. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), evaluation of therapeutic effects and
recurrence rate were recorded at one week before treatment, one week and six months after treatment. Results: The results
demonstrated that: both groups had significantly improved in VAS pain score after treatment(P<0.05). The VAS rate of group I was
obviously inferior to group Ⅱ after treatment. The excellent and good rate of group I was 100%; group Ⅱ was 70%-80%. After one
year's follow-up, it showed that: 12 cases relapsed in group Ⅱ, while zero case in group I. Conclusion: It suggests that this method is
characterized by the advantages of stable efficacy, high safety, low adverse reactions in the treatment of cervical vertigo.
