Abstract: Objective: To investigate the willingness of nursing interns to participate in time bank mutual elderly-care volunteer
service and the influencing factors. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 409 nursing interns in a tertiary hospital in
Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture from November 2022 to May 2023. The χ2 test was used to compare the differences in demographic
characteristics of the nursing interns, and the multifactorial Logistic regression model was used to analyze the independent influencing
factors of nursing interns′ willingness to participate in time bank mutual elderly-care volunteer service. Results: Among 409 nursing
interns, 85.1% of them were willing to participate in time bank mutual elderly-care volunteer service. Gender, education level,
participation in volunteer service, willingness to participate in elderly-care volunteer service, participation in elderly-care volunteer
service, and understanding of the time bank mutual elderly-care model were the influencing factors of the nursing interns′ willingness
to participate in time bank mutual elderly-care volunteer service (P<0.05). Conclusion: Nursing interns have a low awareness rate of
time bank mutual elderly-care volunteer service, but a high willingness to participate.
