Combining Research-oriented Teaching and Heuristic Teaching——The Exploration and Practice in Engineering Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer

摘要: 在以知识体系为旨归的学科取向和以讲授解惑为形式的教学模式下,学生作为知识构建者的主体地位得不到发挥。在《工程热力学与传热学》课程中,根据不同章节的课程内容和能力点培养,设计并应用了两种研究型教学模式。同时结合互动启发式教学模式,以学生的自主性、探索性学习为基础,引导学生独立思考、积极探索相关领域的最新科技前沿成果,启迪学生分析并解决工程实际问题,激励学生提出创新点。研究型—启发式联合教学模式以情感教育为前提,建立兴趣激励和科学评价机制,充分发挥了学生的主体地位,挑战了学生高层次的思维能力,同时也对学生认知自我、肯定自我和激励自我的人格培养过程起到了积极作用。

Abstract: The subject-oriented knowledge system and the problem-solving teaching model prevent the students from playing an active role as knowledge constructors. In the teaching practice of Engineering Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, we combine the interactive-heuristic teaching model and two research-orientated teaching modes according to the curriculum requirements of each chapter of the text book. Students are encouraged to think independently and actively and to explore the latest development in scientific and technological frontiers in related research fields through autonomous and exploratory learning, to analyze and solve practical engineering problems, and to put forward innovative ideas. With the mechanism of affective education,interest actuation and scientific evaluation,this combined teaching model has fully exerted students' active role and has improved their higher order thinking. Besides, this mode has played a positive role in the training of students' self-cognition, self-affirmation and self-motivation.
